Awards and Honours

All India Coordinated Research Project on Micro and Secondary Nutrients and Pollutant Elements in Soils and Plants under the leadership of Dr. M.V. Singh, Project Coordinator awarded first International Zinc Association- Fertilizer Association of India (IZA-FAI) Award for promoting use of zinc in Indian Agriculture on November 29, 2010.

Dr. Muneshwar Singh, Project Coordinator (LTFE) awarded the Fellow of the Indian Society of Soil Science during 75th Annual Convention from November 14-17, 2010 at IISS, Bhopal.

Dr. S. Ramana was admitted as Fellow Indian Society for Plant Physiology (FISSP) in the field of Plant Physiology & Cognate Sciences.

Dr. Asit Mandal received ISSS Best Doctoral Research presentation award during 75th Annual Convention from November 14-17, 2010 at IISS, Bhopal.

Dr.S. Ramana received Academy of Advancement of Agricultural Sciences (AAA) Senior Award of Indian Society for Plant Physiology.

Dr. D. Damodar Reddy, Principal Scientist- Elected Councilor of Indian Society of Soil Science, New Delhi for the year 2008 and 2009.

Dr. K.M. Hati received the Associate Fellowship of National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (NAAS) for the year 2008

Dr.K.Ramesh, received the Young Scientist Award of National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (NAAS) for Soil, Water and Environmental Sciences for the year 2007-2008

Dr. S. Kundu, received award "ICAR award for outstanding Interdisciplinary Team Research in Agriculture and Allied Sciences for the biennium 2007-2008" for their outstanding research contribution in Natural Resource Management.

A.B.Singh, P. Ramesh, N.R. Panwar and S.Ramana, second Best Poster Award for the paper “ Effect of organic nutrient sources on yield, quality and soil biological properties under soybean-wheat cropping system in vertisols” presented at International Symposium on Organic Farming and Renewable Sources of Energy for Sustainable Agriculture at RCA, MPUAT, Udaipur during November, 9-21, 2007

GV Lakshmi and AK Biswas , Senior Scientist, best poster award for the paper “Nitrate in groundwater in intensive agricultural areas of West Godavari: a case study” presented at the International Symposium on Management of Coastal Ecosystem: Technological Advancement and Livelihood Security organized by Indian Society of Coastal Agricultural Research, Kolkata during Oct. 27-30, 2007.

Dr.Ranjit kumar, Senior Scientist - Lal Bahadur Shastri Young Scientist Award, 2005-06 (ICAR) in Social Science

Drs. PK Ghosh, MC Manna, KK Bandyopadhyay received IMPHOS-FAI award for 2005 for their work on "Role of phosphorus on crop yields and crop quality".

Dr. A. Subba Rao and Dr. K. Sammi Reddy received Dhiru Morarji Memorial award for 2004-2005 of FAI for the best article published in July, 2005 issue of Indian Journal of Fertilizers.

ICAR-Chaudhary Devi Lal Outstanding AICRP Award 2004 was presented to All India Coordinated Research Project on Long-Term Fertilizer Experiments under the leadership of Dr. M.V. Singh, Project Coordinator In-charge (AICRP-LTFE) on July 10, 2005 by Shri Sharad Power, Honorable Union Minister for Agriculture, Government of India.

Dr. D. Damodar Reddy received Shri B. Lakshminarayana Memorial Award (2002-03)by Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi on February 11, 2005.
